About priv

priv is a metasearch engine inspired by SearXNG which aggregates the results from other search engines whilst not storing any information on users.

It runs priv which is open source software you can host yourself. If you find it useful, you can support its development.

Add it to your browser

Firefox: right click the address bar while on priv and choose Add "priv". Then pick it under Settings > Search > Default Search Engine.

Chrome: do a search and then open Settings > Search engine > Manage search engines and site search. Under Inactive shortcuts click Activate, then Make default from the ⋮ menu.
